It’s on video somewhere…though I hope that it is such poor quality or that the tape is so worn that no one could ever watch it.
What am I talking about?
A school project…
from my home-school days…
I was doing a cooking show!
I’m not sure what recipe I was making, but it had chopped vegetables and I recall using our Fisher Price toy sink (that actually worked when you pumped the faucet!) as a prop.
I’m pretty sure I wore an apron too…and my project had something to do with a Beatrix Potter study? It’s kinda fuzzy now…
Anyway, the point is that I loved it!
It wasn’t until MANY years later, when I was married and had my own kitchen, that I truly fell in love with cooking.
I love seeing a great dish come together, experiencing great flavors and a unique blend of spices. Although, I must admit that I don’t think that I ever taste my dishes (other than smoothies) before I dig into them.
I rarely make the same dish the same way twice, unless it’s a tried and true favorite.
I’m terrible about documenting recipes, which is part of why I post them here on my blog.
Here are some of the recipes I have shared here:
