“Mama, covers!” I heard startling me from my sleep. My eyes blinked in the darkness as I tried to bring myself to consciousness.
“Mama, covers!” rang through the baby monitor just a few seconds later.
I mustered up the energy to go take care of our little girl, and sure enough, she simply needed her covers and couldn’t find them in the dark.
As I crawled back into my own bed, under the warmth of my own covers, my mind went to the idea of God’s covering over us as His children.
He will cover you with his feathers.
He will shelter you with his wings.
His faithful promises are your armor and protection.
Psalm 91:4, NLT
What comfort we have as believers knowing that we have covers!
