Reminded of What’s Important

I know that at least some of you are like me and get caught up in the daily grind, the routine of sleep, eat, work, etc.

Then one day you get a phone call…

receive a message…

read a post…

and elements of your world shift.

Sometimes it’s a small shift and other days it’s monumental and you can’t quite wrap your head around how certain aspects of your life have changed in such incredible ways within a brief moment.

…and then I think about the reality of eternity

what’s really important in life and how disconnected we live from the spiritual war for our hearts every moment of the day.

And so I ask you, beg you, to pray.

“Pray without ceasing.” -1 Thessalonians 5:17

Do what you have to do in order to keep open lines of communication between you and God. It’s difficult, it requires processing your own emotions and issues; it takes time and effort. But, it’s worth it. When you actually jump into the deep end and deal with your *excuse my french* bucket of crap, you NEED that kind of constant prayer and connection to your spiritual support. You NEED people who are going to come walk beside you and help you empty that bucket, and not freak out on you when it’s full again in a couple days because you’re just wading through that much junk right now.

When you actually deal with sin, it will be dirty and it will require prayer.

So, can I ask you to pray?

I need your prayers…

I have family who need your prayers…

I have friends who need your prayers…

Just reminding myself and you of what is really important today.
